And later was resettled to Bodh-cano village in the Shabelle region, when the Derg regime relocated many people to settle the river banks. Before the fall of the Derge regime the family again relocated to the Degehabur. Abdi Mohamud Omar went to an elementary school at Bodh-cano Shabelle region, unfortunately he had not received opportunity for further education.
